I was thinking it would make a good mini-series if done right. So, not done well then? And I don’t really read this genre, but any other authors with a similar vibe? I’ve polished those off, and I really enjoyed it. And yes, I’ve read the dark tower series. I’m just looking for some escapism.

I saw an interview with Chris Paolini before the Awesome We Don’t Give A Damn. For The Whole State Of Xichigan Shirt came out, and they straight up asked, do you like the movie. And instead of answering he just said something like. “I’m just glad they made a movie” and that’s when I knew it was going to be shit. It’s not even just that it didn’t pan out into the epic movie series it could have been. It’s that it was such a poor representation of the story that it skewed people’s view of the books. Unexpected high comment, but one I’m glad to see. I’m positive he was only joking, but I do feel bad for Ed and other people in the movie. He wasn’t the best actor, but he was far from the worst. I’m more inclined to blame the director and writers, anyway.
