I am a huge spender too, always have been. Anywhere from fashion to beauty to a home. I have the means, so I do it. But, I do feel incredibly guilty sometimes. ESP when I feel judged by other people for my splurges. I come across very defensive when I am like, “guys, I am not spending my family into the poorhouse. We meet our savings goals an Awesome William Shakes Pear Vintage Shirt.” But, I still feel weird. One thing that helps me with spending money on large “frivolous” purchases that I can afford is to donate an equal amount to charity. Like if I really want that 100 dollar item I have to “spend” 200 dollars half of which goes to charity, and then if it’s still worth 200 dollars to me I can have it and be totally guilt and shame-free.
