I went through 2 jars and it was tough. I need to build up a better tolerance. It ended up having to mix it with Funny I Try To Be Good But I Take After My Grandpa Shirt. I tried the Jardines brand but it didn’t seem as hot, also it had more of a tomato flavor. The habanero from Mrs. Renfros is great. Select stores and online-only, sadly. I ordered a few though and it’s pretty good. Buc-ee’s reaper salsa isn’t half bad either if you live in the Lone Star State. Question for OP: does it still say “oleoresin” in the ingredients? The ingredient list online doesn’t list this but my last jar did. Yeah it’s got it, didn’t know that is extract though.

I just picked this up over the weekend since I had seen it posted here so much and I definitely agree that it has some crazy amount of spice. However, the flavor is so damn good that I end up with tears streaming down my face by the time I finish snacking. Certainly hits that great intersection of spice Funny I Try To Be Good But I Take After My Grandpa Shirt. Disappointing, but it wasn’t overwhelming the way that it can be in hot sauce. Yea I can’t taste any chemical taste in this. I do think that the heat on it can pick up and become more painful than you might expect from a grocery store buy which is probably due to the extract.
