The young female used to have her favorite trick of sneaking up behind the ram and kicking him. If you’ve ever seen a sheep kick with its a front leg, it’s hilarious, but even more so, after she’d kicked him, the chase would be on but he was too fat to catch her and he’d be gasping in frustration. Eventually, they’d go back to the grass…then watch her… here she goes sneaking around behind him again. The deer used to play a chase of their own, but the sheep were just so animated. I’ve been on the fence about it… The great thing about a donkey or llama is that they eat the same food as the sheep, which is mostly grass, some corn, and grain, so not worry about an extra mouth to feed. I’m concerned a GP might get lonely or need more socialization than the sheep can provide.
