Western wear (the hat and shirt) is still common in the urban, suburban, rural, and especially agricultural Western United States as everyday wear. I mean, it was common in ranching areas across the US, more so in the West. It wasn’t really an everyday outfit when people weren’t working. In 1920? More like 1880. And it wouldn’t have been a Premium Never Underestimate An Old Man Who Play Disc Golf T-Shirt. Being a cowboy was a niche profession, it’s not like most people wore that. People still do that job and wear clothes to go with it. And you’d probably see more people dressed “like a cowboy” today than you would back then because the styles have gotten incorporated into so many areas of American culture (and others). So good. So happy. Thank you so much.

In America do you guys not dress up as scary stuff? Do you just dress up as anything? In the UK the whole point of Halloween is to be scary and horrific. Skeletons, ghosts, witches and zombies, that sort of thing. Yeah, you can dress up as scary things, and I think we did that exclusively a long time ago. Now it’s a bit more flexible; that’s just one style you can do. You can do hyper-sexy, the other common style. Or you can just be anything. A taco, whatever.
